Toby Barnett is a Realtor who works in the Snohomish County area of Washington state.  He also operates an informational blog that covers topics related to the local real estate industry.  It's a valuable resource, and one of the most useful blogs we've found on real estate in the area.  And Toby is well qualified to operate such a resource.  He has a background in marketing and business management and has transferred his skills into the real estate industry.  He works both at Barnett Associates as well as a local Keller Williams office.  He's a busy guy.

Toby's blog contains significant information across a number of fronts.  If you look through the Blog Categories section at the bottom, you can sort the blog around the type of information you're looking for.  Each category contains a wealth of information.  Subjects such as escrow information, mortgage information, local schools, home improvement ideas, and even local recreational activities are covered.

Toby writes regularly about purchasing bank owned properties and the hassles and triumphs involved.  This seems to be an area where he is uniquely experienced.  But he also provides broader real estate updates on a regular basis, and even offers commentary on larger macroeconomic trends.  This is useful stuff.  You don't want to buy a home in this part of Washington without knowing what you're getting into, and Toby offers an opportunity for potential buyers to educate themselves.

Among all this, however, Toby also provides something else.  He writes about his own experiences as an area resident.  You  can see he loves the place that he calls home.  His heart and his sincerity come through in every post.  One recent article, for example, contained nothing but pictures from a recent crabbing trip on the Puget Sound.  This is not the corporate blog of some emotionless business.  Toby Barnett truly cares about the ideas he shares.
