i have short work history with a 640 fico and my aunt has 800 fico and wants to help me refinace to get my ex off the loan ..

house is appraised at 290 310 ... I owe 175 bit only make 1200 a month and aunt makes 7000 and shes going to be a co borrower ..would it be hard to refinance in this situation by stamina805291 from Santa Monica, California. Sep 23rd 2014 Reply

You should be fine with that amount of equity. The loan will be based on the lowest credit score, but obviously you need your aunt's income. It does beg a question here.. If you only make 1,200 per month, is your aunt prepared to help you financially, or is there other income you receive that cannot be used to qualify?

Good credit borrowers can not be used to offset bad credit borrowers. But, with a 640, you just make it credit wise. So yes, you can have both be on the loan and refinance
