My fiancee and I share a joint checking account. I want the loan to be in my name only, but will the fact that we share funds be a problem?

No. Some lenders may want a letter from your fiancee that you have full access to the funds.

Should not be a problem, the lender most likely will ask your fiancee to sign a letter indicating you have access to all the funds if needed for the down payment and or closing costs.Gary ArdessonMohave State BankLake Havasu City, AZgardesson@mohavestbank.com

Absolutely not.. the non borrower will have to sign a letter of explanation stating that you have unlimited access to those joint funds.. it's that simple.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Yes, as Larry, Gary and William have stated, just a letter of unobstructed access is all that will be needed for you lender.
