Generally lenders require a two-year employment history at the same job. However, there are certain exceptions. If you have moved to new job within the same line of work, the lender will just require a two-month proof of income.

Jason Vondrak has provided a good answer. However, there can be even an exception to the two months requirement with a few lenders. Also,on FHA loans it is only necessary to show a minimum of two years full time work but if there are any gaps we need to provide a good explanation (i.e. sabattical to Europe of 6 months or a year of schooling.)

So long as your in the same line of work, and getting paid the same type of income, then you should have no problems.. it's okay to change jobs, just not professions.. The lenders are required to verify your employment history for 2 years.. .. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
