Foreign financing

I'm re-entering my original question with more specific information. I am retired and living in France. I am looking for an American mortgage for a French beachfront property. I have guaranteed income, a perfect US credit rating, no outstanding debts, and 120,000 euros($160,000) in equity for my normal house located in France. I file American and French income taxes. I have an active American bank account. I have $350.000 term life insurance. I have American credit cards, one with a $30,000 limit. The beach apart's price is 120,000 Euros. I would put in 20,000 Euros for an immediate renovation and would like to borrow the rest. Please contact me if I fit your profile. Thanks Steve Fazekas by steven_709_181 from , . I don't know of any traditional American lenders that will loan on a property in France. You'll likely either need to contact an international bank or one in France. Good luck.

Don't believe any US lenders will loan on any property outside the US

I checked with my private funding sources and it was a no go. Sorry! Otherwise, you can get the best possible loan there. There is no question the best loans and rates are here in the U.S.A right now, but for property located here only!To get a good loan and rate, preferably fixed rate, as you communicated you are looking for...it would be tough to find theprivate investor to provide it, particularly if they feel they can get the borrowers on hard money loans with higher interest rates!
