More information would be needed, but their is no such thing as a HARP VA loan.
A conventional loan can be refinanced as a VA loan - not to exceed 90% of an appraisal. There is no such thing as a HARP VA loan. www.VA-IRRRL-Loan-MN.com
Good morning. A HARP Loan is beneficial for those who have a balance owed on their home that would prevent them from going through normal underwriting that would add Private Mortgage Insurance onto a loan if you currently do not have such, or the value of your loan exceeds the value of your home. There are factors that must be considered to see if this is beneficial for you or not, but has proven to be very helpful to a number of my clients over the past year. In regards to your specific question, the answer is no, a conventional loan cannot be refinanced as a VA Loan. I am located in your home area in Creve Couer. Give me a call at 314-744-7806 so we can discussed your questions and concerns and hopefully provide you with an option designed for you.
If you are of eligible age for a reverse mortgage, that could also be an option instead of a VA loan.
if you are in aFannie or Freddie loan and you meet the cutoff date for HARP, you wiill qualify. The fact that it is owned by Fanni or Freddie makes th current loan a coventiional one. As otheres have said, ther is no such thing as a HARP VA loan.
Some one has given you some bad information - there is no VA harp loan
No VA HARP loan exists.
A HARP loan is a conventional loan, not a VA loan. Unfortunately you couldn't refinance as a HARP VA loan. You can refinance a conventional loan and convert it to a VA loan. If you did that, you would have to fully qualify for the new loan. I would be more than happy to walk you through the process. If you conventional loan is backed by Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac you can refinance with a HARP loan or you can refinance your conventional loan into a VA loan (if you meet qualification requirements). However, there is no such thing as a "HARP VA loan".
