Mortgage Rates 3-24-14

By Stevie Duffin Updated on 3/24/2014

What will mortgage interest rates do tomorrow? Rates should go up, according to mortgage professionals voting on our daily poll.

Little economic data today, but watch out for Tuesday's FHFA Home Prices, New Home Sales, Consumer Confidence, Case Shiller Home Prices, and the beginning of this week's Treasury auctions - $96 billion through Thursday. Wednesday is slower with Durable Goods, but Thursday will see Initial Jobless Claims as well as the final reading of the Q4 GDP.

Recap: Existing Home Sales in February - 4.60 mln - were the lowest since July 2012. They haven't budged much from the last month's reading of 4.62 for January, however.
