Mortgage Rates 9-23-15

By Lisa Robison Updated on 9/23/2015

What will Mortgage Rates do tomorrow? Mortgage professionals are voting in our daily poll.

Mortgage rates have inched up today.  Bonds traded this morning within a narrow range.  At the beginning of the day, Chinese manufacturing data caused bonds to sell off fairly well, and as Corporate bond issuance contunies to put pressure on the bond markets, we end up with neither a move in a positive direction or a weak one.  At 10:30am today, oil inventory data was released, sending oil prices in a downward spiral.  Mortgage Backed Securities and Treasuries held on to this data for the remainder of the day.  This had been the narrowest range for trading since the Wednesday before the Fed announcement last week.
