Mortgage Rates 9-18-2018 Lender411

By Joy Green Updated on 9/18/2018

Mortgage rates have increased for the 3rd day in a row now, marking today as the highest rates have been in at least 5 years (for some lenders), and the highest in 7 years for other lenders. Yesterday the bond market took more losses, only making things worse. Today bond rates edged higher. Loan Originators are uncertain of how high rates might just go and recommend locking in new loans closing within 60 days at application.
