Mortgage Rates 9-16-15

By Lisa Robison Updated on 9/16/2015

What will Mortgage Rates do tomorrow? Mortgage professionals are voting in our daily poll.

Mortgage rates have largely remained the same from yesterday.  The last couple months have seen very little movement, despite corrections from the fallout of China's crisis.  Yesterday, rates rose sharply in anticipation of tomorrow's Federal Announcement.  Today the waters are calm as we all wait and see.  The media and commentary have been all buzzing with opinions and predications, but this very scenario is so unique in nature, nobody really knows which direction the Feds will take.  The idea seems to be that tomorrows rate hike, if it happens, will be the beginning of a larger scale shift upward from the 6 years of histroric lows.  There are surely those borrowers that are waiting until tomorrow to lock, but those borrowers may very well be taking a rather large gamble.  Check back tomorrow to get the up-to-date mortgage news.
