Mortgage Rates 9-02-15

By Lisa Robison Updated on 9/2/2015

What will Mortgage rates do tomorrow? Mortgage professionals are voting in our daily poll.

Mortgage rates are close to unchanged levels from yesterday.  The release of ADP data came in weaker than expected at 190k bersus the forecasted 201k.  Factory Orders also came in much weaker than expected this morning at 10:00am.  Friday's NFP data is of special importance, and will likely impact the Fed's decision to hike rates this September.  MBS and Treasuries both reacted to the ADP data, by pushing the limits of yesterday's weakest levels.  AFP levels being what they are is an indication that NFP levels could come in just as weak.  ISM Non-Manufacturing data, which is typically released today, will be pushed off until tomorrow.  Another report to watch for today is the release of Inventory figures at 10:30am.
