Mortgage Rates 12-30-13

Will mortgage rates go up tomorrow? Industry experts voting on our live poll predict no change in interest rates tomorrow. The mortgage market will typically experience very little movement during Christmas and the New Year. However, market rates will remain volatile as the Federal Reserve has begun tapering off the bond purchase program. Positive economic data is negative for mortgage rates and investors remain speculative of the Feds intention to raise the taper from $10 billion to $20 billion at the next FOMC meeting. 30-year (FRM) rates decreased by .01% to 4.65%. The 52-week high is 4.85%.

15-year (FRM) rates fell by .02% to 3.66. The 52-week high is 3.90%.

FHA 30-Year Fixed rates stabilized at 4.25%. The 52-week high is 4.60%.

Jumbo 30 Year Fixed rates declined by .02% to 4.58%. The 52-week high is 4.79%.

5/1 Year (ARM) rates remained still at 3.25%. The 52-week high is 3.37%.
