The delinquency rate in late summer was 6.88%. That's 3.6% above the pre-pandemic level, however down 0.03% month-over-month. The change from July to August change was less than the changes from June and July, indicating improvement may be slowing. Caution! This change does not mean that more borrowers are struggling financially. Rather, it hints that the problem is becoming persistent.
