Mortgage Rates 4-29-14

By Stevie Duffin Updated on 4/29/2014

What will mortgage interest rates do tomorrow? Rates should stay the same, according to mortgage professionals voting on Lender411's daily poll.

This morning, bonds were bolstered by slowing year-over-year gains from the February Case-Shiller 20-city Index, which was released at 12.9%. Just below the 13% expected for February, the 20-city index is down from the 13.2% year-over-year improvement in January. Down from a recent high of 13.7%, the loss is being attributed to higher mortgage rates and borrower obstacles to loan qualification.

For market movers this busier week, look out for  ADP Payroll Wednesday, ISM manufacuring and Initial Jobless claims Thursday, and a whole suite of employment data Friday. We're not forgetting this week's giant: FOMC rate decision Wednesday 2:00 PM ET.
