Who is a lender that will provide a home loan with bad credit?

I am having trouble getting approved for a home loan, but there are multiple listings I am interested in that would result in a mortgage less than I am currently paying in rent. Does anyone know of a bank that is a little more lenient? Here are the details...Employed by current employer for 5+ yearsAnnual Income: $67,000Credit Scores: 552, 554, 576All balances on my credit report listed as negative total $1200. I paid off 3 of the accounts today, and 2 of them are being removed because they are duplicates. I also sent 4 letters requesting "goodwill" adjustments to creditors who reported a late payment. My last late payment was a year ago, and these are not frequent.I currently have an auto loan that is 50% paid and there has never been a late payment ($8,000 remaining).I currently am still paying my student loans which are in good standing ($3000 remaining).Debt to Income ratio: 7%Propery listed at: $99,000Available for down payment: $6,000 (could have more if needed)HELP! by brooke_935 from Knoxville, Tennessee. If you have not missed a payment on anything within the last year, and can document your income, and can put 10% down, you may be able to find a lender who can go under 600 credit scores. If you can do the 10% down, plus closing costs, look for a sub 600 fico FHA lender. If not possible, the other option is to get private financing, which they dont care for credit, but you have to put 30-35% down. Good Luck

I would recommend you speak to a lender that will take the time to assist you with raising your credit scores. This will put you in a better situation.

Credit is clearly an issue. Those are very low scores. Even in the crazy days of giving everyone a loan (2003-2007), you would have been denied because of those scores. I suggest forgetting about buying a home in the short-term, and focus on improving credit. it is probably worth your time to work with a licensed credit repair company that will assist you with improving your scores.
