Any good, and experienced Loan Officer can get it for you... Just apply with the local lender and they will get it for you. On occasion, we may need your assistance with getting a VA 26-1880 form signed and a copy of your DD214. In MN, WI, and SD, visit www.VA-IRRRL-LOAN-MN.com

Joe is 100% spot on! If your loan officer cant get your COE, you should replace them.

I think Joe Metzler answered your question well. Also, from a lender you have provided income, etc. information to, you can gain some more insight intothe V A loan for you specifically. The eligibility requirement on % of disability has been lowered substantially to waive the V A funding fee, and that eligibility can be noted on your V A certificate of eligibility with the right documentation provided.

Like others have outlined the loan officer or the processor will order the COE on your behalf. The following needs to be provided in order for us to order a COE: If you are a veteran you would just need to provide the DD-214 showing the service and the reason for separation. If you are active, you would then provide a current statement of service. If you are a current National Guard or Reserve member who has never had active service. then you would provide a statement of service. If you are a discharged member of the National Guard who has never been active, then you would provide a NGB Form 22 or 23. If you are a surviving spouse you would then provide VA form 26-1817 and veteran's DD214 ( if available). If you are a Surviving Spouse and are not receiving DIC (Dependency & Indemnity Compensation) benefits, then you would provide VA form 21-534, DD214 (if available), a marriage license, and a death certificate or DD Form 1300, report of casualty.
