If you did not get the answer you were looking for and could provide additional information we would be happy to answer you. Often times you can take over the payments if you inherit the property or otherwise have an interest in the property.
I'm not married I was engaged to him many. years ago and remained friends for 33 yrs. He had a major stoke at 32 and condition worsened over time I lived there to help and I was a close friend. His mother is 77 yrs old and lost her husband last yr. His half sister has taken over paperwork for his mom. I rarely saw her and don't feel comfortable approaching the situation without knowing if I have any chance of saving the home.He did not have a will, he knew I couldn't afford the pmts and didn't want to worsen the outcome for me by adding financial stress. The FHA pmts are 640.00 per month and I have a disability income of 1000.00 per month. I must take care of our kids (dog and cat) I have nowhere to go if I loss this house. I was told that the property would be in probate,Whatever that is. I have lost my entire family in the past few yrs, I am disabled and clueless to any help that I can get to remain at home.Since his sister has taken over recent finances I have been kept uninformed to the I families intentions.She had telephone and satellite service disabled several days after his death marking it difficult to communicate

I'm sorry to say, that based on what you said, you likely have no legal rights to the property. Probate is the process by which a court/judge will decide the disposition of the house, as he had no will. At this point, I suggest you contact legal aid of some sort if you wish to go before probate court and try for the house. As a lender, there is no advise i can give you as this is not a lending issue.
