With USDA you actually can't make more money than the County Income limit. Which county are you looking to purchase in with a USDA loan?

USDA loans are "means tested" assistance type loans. If you and the family make too much money, they figure you shouldn't need the zero down payment assistance, and you should have your own down payment money.I agree. With a USDA loan, there are two factors. First is who is on the loan, and their income. Do they qualify? The second is overall household income, and does that qualify as a needy family? Everyone in the family, regardless if they are on the actual loan or not have their income factored into the income qualification determination. Each county in the country has a household income limit, so you need to check the USDA web site for your area. In MN, WI, and SD, that information can be accessed at www.JoeMetzler.com/usda

Hello:USDA uses all household income regardless if they are on the loan. There may be deductions you can take to help offset the income depending on certain factors; and there are county limits too. If you would like us to help you get pre-qualified, please contact me and we would be happy to help. Best regards, Patty Harrison
