FHA requires 3.5% down payment, Conventional requires 3% down if you are a first time home buyer, and USDA is zero down, but the home must be in a designated USDA area. There are also grant programs available which can help with the down payment, however, most of these programs have income qualifications.. it's intended for low income borrowers, so if you make too much, you wont qualify..
