We have heard NFL is coming to Carson (Chargers + may be even Oakland Raiders) Does anyone have any advice on this? We've been looking at homes for more then 8 months and have learned so much. I guess we're just fearful to finally take the plunge and buy. Will NFL increase property values? Is this a sound deciion? by jodycarrillo120 from Carson, California. Aug 3rd 2015
No one has a crystal ball, and having an NFL team close by could actually be a bad thing if the traffic is a nightmare every time there's a home game. But if home is in the same city, then more than likely, it will have little impact. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. In pondering your question I thought of the many times in attending 49er games at Candlestick Park how we would park on someone's private property. Now there is a way for you to make extra money! Make sure you get the biggest lot you can get.LOL. In all seriousness you have a couple of good comments her prior to mind worth pondering. But at $10.00 minimum (1980s) a car one guy used to squeeze about 30 to 40 cars onto his property. That was $300 to $400 (double now) for about 10 games...two practice games and 8 regular season games! Charge double at the playoffs! A lot of people I know will be unhappy if the Raiders leave Oakland!I have done many a loan for fans of the L A Raiders too. Carson Raiders??
