switching jobs and want a mortgage

i'm currently working for myself but i am going to be workig with another company soon. i assume qualifying will be easier now that i wont be self employd but how long do i have to wait before getting preapproved? the salary will be about 10k higher than what i was making for myself by quillen_ryu7834696 from La Grange, Tennessee. As long as there is no longer than a six month gap in employment we don't have to wait. We can use your offer letter and first pay stub from your new job to document this and count your new income for qualifications. More info would be needed, but in general, it would be an underwriters call. If your going to work for someone else but staying in the same field of work as your current self employment, then so long as you are a W2 paid employee, you should be ok once you can provide 30 days of pay stubs.. if your going to be paid by commissions, or you're changing work fields, then you will need to wait 2 years and have 2 filed federal tax returns to support your income before applying.. .. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
