Simple fixed 10 year home equity loan
I just want a simple $40k loan with a fixed rate for 10 years for home improvement. A fixed equity loan. No heloc. I owe 260K on my home and it is value at $380k. No refinancing for I have a fixed 2.9% rate for the remaining 11 years. My credit score is 740. All the big box banks want to do a heloc and I don't. by Michael Hogg from Chandler, Arizona. Another option might be to go to a local credit union, they might be able to help for something of this size. My guess is that you will find most mortgage lenders won't be able to help because of the size/term of your requested loan.
