If credit scores were the only thing that the lender considers when obtaining a mortgage, then yes.. a 695 is acceptable.. the reality is that it takes so much more than a credit score to qualify.. debt, debt to income, credit history as well as credit scores, and credit deficiencies are also considered.. You could have a 795 credit score but have a major derogatory item which could disqualify you altogether.. for this reason, it's best you apply with a local broker and let them look at the complete loan scenario.. only then will you know for sure if you can qualify.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. There are of course other requirements that would need to be met, such as debt to income ratio, etc. I would be honored to walk you through the pre-approval process, which is completely free.
