More than likely, you're not going to find a loan.. Land loans are very hard to find right now, and if you have bad credit, it's near impossible.. The only thing that might change things would be what type of land and where it's located.. if it's prime land, zoned commercial, right off the freeway, in a busy metropolis, then you'll more than likely find a hard money lender willing to lend you money on it.. if it's a few acres in the middle of nowhere.. it's not going to happen... You may be able to get a private money loan from a local source but be very careful when choosing a private money lender and get plenty of references. Good luck in your search!Kevin PrinceSVPLiberty Onekprince@liberty1amc.com858-926-8904
You might want to consider going to a private mortgage lender but know that the rate will be higher and most likely a lower ltv.
Very difficult to borrow against vacant land, suggest you try a local credit union or smaller local bank. It might need to be a personal loan securred by the land.
- (submit too quickly) but unless you have pretty decent credit it may be difficult to get anyplace other than a finance company (never a good idea) or "hard money" lender to actually approve you. Be careful...
