Depends on the new lender. In many cases they will take the old appraisal and ask the appraiser to endorse it to them. Sometimes appraisers will charge a small fee for that.
It depends on your loan product and the new lender... FHA appraisals are good for 120 days, and should transport, however the new lender could reject it if they choose to... while on conventional loans, most lenders will not accept transported appraisals... Try reaching out to a local lender who might offer you a credit to pay for the new appraisal for you ( Like Mr. Larry Bennett) ... I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. Some require you to get another one, some don't.
It depends upon the lender. You DO have to get another appraisal but with a lender like me, you don't have to pay for that new appraisal. Feel free to call me, John Cooper 817-726-1001 (NMLS #219792)
