HOA dues in my complex

I went to an open house in my condo complex. I over heard the Realtor telling the potential buyer that the hoa dues for our complex is $198. I pay $236. Why would my dues be more? I thought all residents pay the same amount. by mtipto_751_625 from San Diego, California. Aug 31st 2011 Reply

The realtor may have the wrong HOA information, it happens all the time. I would contact your condo association & ask them directly are there different fees for different units.Nancy RelefordHome Equity Mortgage, LLC

Thank you for your question. All of the previous answers are correct. I agree, the best advice would be to call and speak with the head of the Home Owners Association and inquire about your dues and find out what the breakdown is and what the money is used for. It could very well be a mis-informed Realtor or that particular unit requires different care than your own.Let me know how you make out.Best Regards,Craig S. Spauldingtogabroker2@yahoo.com
