Relocating from UK to US - Mortgage options

I am moving base from the UK to US (AZ) on H-1B and wondered if there are any mortgage products for folks like me with zero US credit history and without the savings to buy a house outright. by nishant1234586 from Phoenix, Arizona. May 18th 2017 Reply

There are options for financing as a foreign national. Typically you will need at least 30% downpayment. We are happy to help. Brad Autobahn Mortgage LLC

I concur that you would likely need to put down 30%, but at least you now know it is possible!

The short answer is Yes.. but its not that easy.. There are both conforming and private money loan products that will allow you to finance.. For conforming loans, there is a whole list of requirements you will need to meet in order to be acceptable. In regards to private money, each lender who offers private money will have their own set of guidelines.. some might require that you be here for 2 to 3 years or more years, and most will require that you have US Filed federal tax returns for 2 or more years.. The long answer is this is by no means an easy loan.. I do have 9 different lenders who offer "Foreign National" loan products.. and our loan products are some of the most aggressive in AZ.. but we will definitely need to discuss in detail your employment and income situation. Also, Loan to value's range from 20% down to 40%... I'm a preferred Lender with Arizona and California being my primary markets. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com NMLS# 226347 / RPM Mortgage NMLS 1541014 / AZMB0121893
