Call me biased, but with your LOCAL Broker, you have an advantage because he's familiar with local customs and works with many lenders with each one offering a different type of lending program. This is unlike the local bank which typically only has a few lending programs. The more lenders, the more lending options, and the more likely your scenario will be accepted.. Plus, the broker is experienced in seeking out the best loan terms for your particular scenario, and he has lower overhead which typically results in lower rates and fees than most of the larger lenders.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Hello Yeseniamartine55148,Brokers and larger companies or banks are all competing to earn your business. With that in mind it is possible to get close to the same interest rate wherever you decide to go. The differences may be in things like processing times or customer service. In deciding whom you should choose make a checklist for yourself. Why do you want to refinance, is it payment, interest rate, are funds needed to consolidate bills or do home repairs? Then, what kind of service did you get on your first inquiry with the company? Make sure to get a loan estimate that details your costs and then go from there. Good luck with your search and feel free to reach out to should you have any other questions. My name is Jessica Irons and I am a Senior Community Banker with Goldwater Bank here in Maryland.

Survey after survey has proven that working with your local mortgage broker is the best option for the vast majority of people. More options, less overhead, better rates, lower costs, and fully licensed loan officers versus unlicensed bank application clerks. You simply can't go wrong with a mortgage broker.

There are benefits to both. I have worked on both sides of the fence, and found something that I feel is the best of both worlds. I have the pricing of that of a broker but the ability to not have all the overlays and hurdles of a large company. I am local here in Oregon and would love to help you with that refinance.Derick Condron503-510-8290dcondron@rightstartmortgage.com
