Hello, and thanks for your question...I can certainly help you with your purchase loan, it sounds like an FHA loan will fit best for you. Please feel free to give me a call and I'll go through the scenarios with you. Travis Torcoletti (803) 381-5149
Yes, I can get mortgage applications approved for a FHA loan with scores in that range. I'll be happy to talk to you about all the criteria for approvals, not just credit score, and there is no obligation on your part. I work with many customers who, like you, have needed or still need to improve their qualifications to purchase a home. There are additional resources and information on my website or I can email them to you. Please call or email me any time (pdumouchel@primelending.com or 843-343-6383). I'm based here in SC and am licensed by the State. - Just drove through Clinton on Friday and again Saturday evening on my way to Due West
You should be able to find several lenders out there who can help you out. However, with your scores where they are, you are going to find that you'll have a slightly higher interest rate and a more difficult time throughout the underwriting process. You should be able to find someone local who can view your credit report and give you some advice on how to get your scores up to make the process a little less stressful. I would advise contacting a reputable, local broker who is willing to take the time and walk you through the process.
First of all, congratulations on the progress you have made in improving your scores to where they are. Depending on what is being reported on your bureau, it may be failry easy to get your score up those few extra points you need to qualify for the best rates out there. My advice is to contact a local Mortgage Banker/Broker, rather than one of the big banks or big national mortgage factories. Unlike a bank employee, who is most likely just an order taker, a Mortgage Broker/Banker is Trained, Tested and Licensed in all aspects of Mortgage Origination. He/She will have access to loan products of many lenders, not just those of one bank, and can properly guide you. But more importantly, He/She is trained to take a look at the various different options available to you and guide you into the one that makes the best sense for your situation. In your case, the expertise you need is someone who knows how the Credit Reporting system works to get your score improved.
