my home loan loan was in my husbands name who passed away, how do i get a mortgage company to help me?

deed in my name, loan in my husbands name who passed away, after a battle in court, by law i was awarded the assets, along with the debts, the debts forced me into a chapter 13, i completed the 13, my situation now is this, how do i get a mortgage company to help me, i get denied denied, denied, i pay 1332.02 every month on time for a mortgage payment in my husbands name, i dont get the credit for these payments, my APR% is at 7.85, my payments are high for mortgage, and i only owe 103,000 the home is worth atleast 160-180, my score is 640, and just discharged from my bankruptcy early paid off, had good credit before the chapter 13, i had to file it because the mortgage co, wanted 25,000 for mortgage owed before i was appointed, and i didnt have that kind of cash up front, so i had to file to save the home after my husbands passing, and fighting in court over what i was entitled to. i didnt understand why the mortgage company want to keep a dead man on the loan, instead of my name who is here and alive.all i am looking for is to have this loan in my own name, lower the apr, lower the monthly payments, and a few extra dolloars to fix the fence in the yard that is falling down, put a new roof. i saved the home for my child, he lost his dad, dog, toys, clothes, and home all in one day, so i fought in court and got back some of it.can anyone out there help me set the record straight, the current mortgage company is hiding something from me i just know they are, refusing to help me,or even speak to me, didnt matter that i showed them all the legal documents they requested of me, they avoid me at every point of contact.something is not right, could it be a situation where my home should of been paid off, at my husbands death? why does this company avoid me??? wont help me???? BUT HAS NO PROBLEM TAKING MY CHECK MONTH AFTER MONTH, YEAR AFTER YEAR FOR PAYMENTS.

Good for you for fighting for your rights. I believe your situation is too involved for any lender to adequately advise you on this forum. I recommend that you contact at least one of the local lenders that has responded here. Best of luck to you.

The best advice I can give you is to contact a local real estate attorney. Your scenario is too complex and involved for any mortgage guy to get involved.. if you cannot afford an attorney, you might want to call the local Bar association, and see if there's an attorney who might take on your battle Pro Bono... .. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com
