Jacqueline even though we can lend on credit scores below 590, it will depend on other factors. The best thing to do is for you is to apply for a loan. You can go to mannylindo.annie-mac.com to start the process.
You will have very limited options, but since you apparently own the house outright there may be some. Just be very careful of the terms you agree to. Ideally you should work to get your score over 620-640 and then try.
Realistically, while some people will say there is a potential, it is so tiny it isn't worth mentioning. A 590 score is very low, and almost all lenders will require something much higher. I suggest focusing on improving the score before trying to get a loan.
Hi Jacqueline, we are able to lend down to a 560 credit score. Please go to our website and submit your application so I can get a full perspective on your situation. www.satorimortgage.com. Please select me (David Ortega) in the dropdown list when you submit your application so I am notified when the application comes through.
It will be difficult because of your credit score, but since you own the home and do not have a current mortgage payment you might have more options.
Highly unlikely you will find any conforming lender willing to lend to you with a low 590.. your far better off working on improving your credit score, and then go get your loan.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com
Jacquline, you really need to talk to a local lender and discuss your goals - not a specific kind of loan. Maybe getting a Mortgage secured by your home isn't the best way to get the money, there may be other options. Good Luck!!!
