loan question for a person with foreign earned income

I would like to qualify for a loan based on the collateral of my two houses which are rented out in Joliet, Illinois. I earn my living in France, so I have French tax returns. My American tax returns show no income because for the last couple of years I have poured all the profits back into renovation. The houses are paid for. I have no debt.
