Unless your husband is on the loan, you cannot use his income.. and overtime income can be considered if you have been receiving it for at least 2 years.. If you are only looking at VA as an option, you may want to re-think that. VA tends to be the toughest on job continuity. FHA may be more forgiving for time off work depending on the circumstances, the type of work and the way he's paid. Talk to a lender that offers ALL loan products and see what ALL of your options are.
