Is there anyone who will lend money to the unemployed in Fort Smith, AR or to an illegal alien who is employed?

I need money fast! I am needing about 400 dollars and no one will lend us money because I am unemployed (I stay at home and take care of the kids) and my boyfriend does not have a social security number. However, he does have his ITIN number that he used on his income tax return last year and he has had the same job for over five years! I have also been babysitting for 3 months so I guess that counts as being self-employed, but all the loan places I've called say that's not long enough because it has to be on my tax record which is one year. We have also lived at the same address for 6 months. Is there anywhere I can go that will lend me money?? by callal_931_806 from Fort Smith, Arkansas. Jul 12th 2012 Reply

I agree with Bert - your situation doesn't pertain to a mortgage. For your boyfriend he is S.O.L. because he is an illegal alien, he could however ask his employer for a loan. If his employer is smart, realizing for could get into a lot of trouble buy hiring non-legitimate workers, he could provide some type of assistance. Further - if you want to consider yourself "Self Employed" do it right. Go down to your local count house and file your "Doing Business As" business name. They you can open a business checking account. The beautiful thing about being self employed is being able to write off your expenses (telephone, internet, car expenses, etc...) against your tax able income. As a DBA company you can take three years of losses before being subject to an IRS audit. As a LLC is 7 years before you have to show profit, as a C or S corp, there you have 15yrs before you have to show a profit. My opinion you should look into applying for state welfare for you and your children - they are your first priority!!!!! .

Thank you that was very helpful! I apologize for being in the wrong forum. I couldn't find any others. I will try to do it the right way and go apply for state welfare. Thanks again!

I doubt you will find anyone to lend to you. If you do have something to sell or pawn that would be a good idea. Good luck!
