Credit is important, but it's only one thing out of a hindered that is analyzed when determining one's eligibility.. if you want to know exactly what you qualify for, then you should contact a LOCAL mortgage broker and apply with them. By applying with your LOCAL Broker, you have an advantage because he's familiar with local customs and works with numerous lenders, seeking out the best loan terms for your particular scenario. Because he has lower overhead, he can offer you lower rates and lower fees than most of the larger lenders.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J. Credit is a huge factor in getting a loan. Your credit history is used to judge how you are likely to perform in the future based on how you performed in the past. Makes sense, so if you've performed poorly in the past, you need to work on your credit to improve that history, and make yourself look better to a lender. Most people with a little bit of time, and a bit of effort can improve and get back in creditors good graces. Good luck
What score do you have? Credit score is a very important factor in getting a home loan and directly impacts the interest rate you will have. If you have a low credit score, I would suggest working to build your credit score before applying for a mortgage.
I would contact a local loan officer, do a full loan application and have them review your credit report with you. They will be able to tell you what needs to be done in order to improve your credit and what needs to be done to qualify for a home loan now or in the near future. Best wishes, Sean
