If you have been approved with a VA loan can you change to another mortgage company if you haven't purchased a home yet?

Sure. At this stage, being pre-approved or approved with mortgage company a - doesn't mean you cant change to mortgage company b. However, in moving, you will need to consider timeline for basically starting over. Can you still make the closing date? Happy to help in anyway I can. That's up to you; depends on how far along you are in the loan process, and if it will still allow you to close in time if you are under contract on a home. If you are not under contract, yoiu can shop around for current mortgage rates and compare closing fees.
