I live in Canada, and own a duplex in Minnesota. I'd like to refinance my 30-year fixed 6.75% mortgage. I have spoken to a few lenders who basically hung up on me when they found out I don't live in the US. Are there any lenders who would work with me?

A loan itself isn't too hard to do this loan as long as you have an active U.S.Credit report... If you do not have a current U.S. credit history, that then becomes the hard part. I've done them in the past without issue because they has a credit history here.... and I've just recently tried one for a U.S. Citizen who has worked in Canada for 15-years. He no longer has any u.S. credit history... and I finally gave up. www.JoeMetzler.com
