Generally speaking you would be looking at a one to two year wait period from the date of discharge of the bankruptcy. That said, there may be a bank credit union (if you are already a member) which holds their own HELOC paper, and might be willing to assist you. That is not a sure thing, but only other possibility (providing your credit is still somewhat reasonable) would be to see about a credit card that might allow enough room to work.

You will need to wait one to three years, and rebuild your credit.

Too much info missing.. Typically, HELOC's are offered though your local bank, and they will always have the strictest guidelines, so you will probably need to wait 2-3 years before applying.. you might be able to get a loan in as little as 1 year if your looking to just refinance, but if your trying to pull cash out by either doing a HELOC, or a "Cash out Refinance", your going to have to wait 3 years.. .. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com

Not this soon. There is a waiting period. How long a waiting period depends on the type of bankruptcy.
