The appraisal process, from the borrower's standpoint, can vary from geographical region to region and from lender to lender. Typically once you have acknowledged your initial loan documents received and accepted, there is a 3 day wait and then your lender can order the USDA or any government loan appraisal. It can take from several days to a couple of weeks typically, to end up with a completed appraisal. Your loan officer can apprise you of the timeline in your area. it mainly depends on how many USDA appraisers available in your area and how busy they are.
The appraisal process for a USDA is really no different than any other loan. Appraisals ordered through our company typically are completed within seven days after they are ordered. This is typically done after three days, once you have acknowledge and accepted your initial loan documents. I am here in Missouri and have done a number of USDA loans. Please give me a call to discuss your options, and to go over the process on the actual turn times we are seeing at this time.
