How can I find out exactly how much my home is worth? Is there a source that lenders use?

Zillow.com will give you estimated value of your home.

the only real way to know for sure is to pay for an appraisal.. that being said, there are online sources that might get you close.. Zillow, Trulia, your County Assessor's office, or even a local real estate agent.. all of these sources can get you close, but only an appraisal will be accurate.. For an 'exact' number you'd need to get the home appraised by a licensed Appraiser. If you are just wondering out of curiosity, you can check out comparable houses in your neighborhood that have recently sold and get a pretty good estimate of what your house is worth.Josh LundBranch Manager - Gold Star Mortgage
