FHA does not offer jumbo loans.. There are however certain area's in the country that have a "High Cost of Living".. Such as Hawaii, parts of California, New York, Connecticut.. Etc... In those areas, the loan limits might be higher.. In Bucks County, the maximum is $420K plus the 1.75% Up Front Mortgage Insurance charged by FHA... you will need a minimum of 3.5% down... you can purchase a home that is $500K or $600K, or whatever.. You just cannot finance more than the maximum loan limit... Keep in mind that FHA is intended for the low income borrowers to get mortgage financing with minimal down payments... it's not intended for borrowers who wish to purchase mansions... I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com

Maximum FHA mortgage limits vary based on the county where the property is located. In some high cost areas the limit might be classified as a jumbo loan. You can look it up at: https://entp.hud.gov/idapp/html/hicostlook.cfm The published limit is all that is allowed for a FHA loan in that area/county.

Like the previous answers, the FHA loan limits vary from county to county. So, where you/are looking to buy will determine the maximum loan amount you can secure with an FHA loan. Contact a local lender to find out.
