Could I get approved for a loan when my income is solely SSI? I have saved for a down payment and have no debt.

Yes, SSI is a type of income if it is likely to continue, you have at least 2 year history of receiving this type of income, and this incomeincome will remain stable. Your next challenge would be to make sure you have qualifying credit scores.

Sure can! The income can also be grossed up to assist you in qualifying for more home.

So long as you can prove that your SSI is likely to continue for the next 3 years, then yes.. the problem is that you will need your doctor to write a letter stating so.. and most will not.. Regardless, lending guidelines do not disqualify SSI recipients from qualifying.. but you do need to prove it's continuance.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. William J.
