Our closing date will fall near the Christmas vacation and we will be out on vacation the second half of December. Can this happen via fax, email? by Jasmine.lipp572 from , California. Nov 25th 2013
Let your lender know.. If you're out of the country, then paper work can be emailed to you, however they will need to be signed and notarized.. so you could go to the US Embassy and you should find a notary.. otherwise, you would have to wait till your return to sign locally.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com
I have done these transactions several times. There are two options. First is a specific Power if Attorney as mentioned by another respondent. Secondly if you are near an American Embassy in the foreign country, we can arrange your signing to be there. It is also possible that we could arrange it at a US military base, but I have never personally used this option for any of my clients. If you have further questions or need to pursue the transaction feel free to reach me here, by email at robhanson@emortgagegroup.com, or directly by phone at 301-651-7822. I lend nationally so I can assist if necessary. Regards, Robert Hanson
Title will need wet signatures that are notarized. Most title companies offer a mobile notary that can get to you within the US. If you are going out of country then look into POA specific to a real estate transaction. If you have someone close to you that can handle the closing on your behalf. Or at the very worst, delay the closing until you return.
Jasmine...be sure and find out what days and times the U S Embassy in the country you are traveling to will have a notary available to attend to your needs!Hopefully, you can be in the area of the Embassy at a particular time withoutinconveniencing you too much. Have your loan officer look it up for you...thatis what I try and do when I know where my client is going to be. Have a terrificXMAS vacation abroad!
