Absolutely, it usually takes lenders anywhere from as little as two weeks to 45 days to get most loans closed. As long as you get a signed purchase agreement by mid November you should be OK. It is not necessary I would advise that you get pre-approved as soon as possible just in case there are any glitches that needs to be worked out.

absolutely.. The best advice I can give you is to contact a LOCAL mortgage broker and apply with them. Do not use the local "Big" bank, or one of those 50 states internet lenders or nationwide lenders...By applying with your LOCAL Broker, you have an advantage because he's familiar with local customs and works with numerous lenders, seeking out the best loan terms for your particular scenario. Yes the only program that requires you to be married and use both people's income and credit profile is VA.
