Can i borrow against my bare land?

You can but many lenders do not loan on undeveloped land. Usually checking out various local community banks might help you find the loan you are looking for. It can count as much better collateral than just your good word. Typically for a purchase of land banks required at least 40% down payment and sometimes 50%.

You can, but it is verify difficult to find a lender who will lend money without any real "collateral" there, ie. a house or building. I would contact a local mortgage broker and get their opinion. They may be able to help assist you in finding a lender. Brokers have many resources.
