Not sure I understand your question. Was your equity line subordinated to a new first mortgage six months ago?
This really depends on what they are trying to change.... Certain terms they likely can't change while others may be allowed.... Also, certain types of things that may have been mistakes (typos, etc) you are usually obligated to acknowledge the corrections. What is different about what they are sending you now? Not sure what you are asking.Did you request a subordination? Did the equity line get modified in any way?
Depends what your original agreement was with them. Several years ago when values were dropping many lenders were cancelling equity lines or reducing the available credit.
What are the asking to be signed... Just some missed signature, or something that changes the terms and conditions?
I would be suspicious.. you best bet is to call your lender and ask them.. because of the amount of loan scams out there, the paperwork might not have come form your lender at all, but some shyster.. I do know that one of the disclosures you signed in your last refinance states you will cooperate and sign any documents that your lender might have missed even after your loan funds, but I've never heard of your 2nd lender asking you to resign documents because of a refinance on the first.. Another possibility would be that most Equity lines of credit have a payout period, and then after a certain period of time (usually 10 years), the withdrawal period ends, and it then becomes a fully amortized 20 year loan. It's possible that your lender is willing to change the terms of this in your favor, so a phone call to them would be prudent.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona.
