The best advice I can give you is to contact a LOCAL mortgage broker and apply with them. Do not use the local "Big" bank, or one of those 50 states internet lenders or nationwide lenders...By applying with your LOCAL Broker, you have an advantage because he's familiar with local customs and works with numerous lenders, seeking out the best loan terms for your particular scenario. Because he has lower overhead, he can offer you lower rates and lower fees than most of the larger lenders.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona. If you or someone you know is looking for financing options, feel free to contact me or pass along my information. 480-287-5714 WilliamAcres.com

Are you just moving to the area? If not, I would start with your local bank. Also, if you already have a RE agent they can give you direction.Talk to as many companies as you need to. When you find the lender that is the right fit you will know.If I can ever be of any help, I am here.Highest Regards,Jenny Baker
The best bank would be to not use a bank or credit union for a VA home Loan. Your best bet would be to use a local mortgage broker, or direct lender. One of the biggest problems with banks and credit unions is their Loan Officers are NOT required to be licensed, and are more of just application takers versus a true professional. Always go with a Local broker. You can meet them in person and judge them yourself versus over the phone. Make sure you trust them. Also a mortgage broker is generally more knowledgeable about many loan products instead of the internet or box checker lenders that just have a low interest rate but 7 people will touch your loan and the Loan officer doesn't even know what stage your file is at. Contact a local broker.
Use a local mortgage broker.
A local mortgage broker is likely going to be able to get you the best rate. They work with a variety of lenders, so they can shop around to get you the best rate. You also will get more personalized service with a mortgage broker as oppose to a bank.
