They both are bad. I certainly hope you are not trying to decide which to file based on how your credit will look after. The damage to your score will depend on what happens to your credit accounts. I know people that have filed and have scores in the mid 700s only a couple of weeks after the filing, and others that have scores in the 400s. Both are bad.. Chapter 7 is worse.. as far as credit.. as far as debt relief.. Chapter 7 is better.. I'm a Broker here in Scottsdale AZ and I only lend in Arizona.
