There are income requirements for all mortgage loan products.. FHA 203K is no different than any other FHA loan.. FHA looks at your monthly debt payments along with the new housing payment, and offsets them against your gross monthly income to determine your debt to income ratio (DTI).. ideally, 45% or lower, but if you have strong compensating factors such as a high credit score, large cash reserves, etc, etc.. then FHA can go as high as 55%.
