are there stricter credit requirement for jumbo loans?

That is considered an excellent score. The main thing with a jumbo loan is your down payment. I can receive an approval for a minimum down payment of 10%. However you'll receive the best rate with at least 20% down.

Down payment will be the biggest difference, as you are looking most likely at a minimum of 10% down possibly more.
